Have them call the Pharmacist Help number found on the My Card screen of the app. A representative will explain how the pharmacist should enter the information to process your transaction.
Once you’ve set your preferred pharmacy, the app will alert you when you enter that pharmacy. Simply open the app and show the My Card screen to your pharmacist upon check out. They will enter the information and should let you know if any discount is applied to your purchase.
If you did not receive a discount, you have the option to try another card that may provide a discount on your prescription. To try another card, simply tap on the “Tap here when done” button on the myRxMedSaver My Card screen. When asked if you received a discount, tap “No, try another card.” A new card will be created and you can present it to the pharmacist to try again.
No. Once you have successfully used the app at your pharmacy, the card information will be stored on your account and applied to future purchases. You do not need to show the app again. If you go to a different pharmacy chain, you’ll need to present the app.
It is not uncommon for a drug to be less expensive with the myRxMedSaver app than with a health insurance card; particularly with generic medications. We suggest that when you check out that you ask the pharmacist to consider both your health insurance and the myRxMedSaver app and you should use whichever gives you the lowest price.
