Does myRxMedSaver work at any pharmacy?

Yes. There are approximately 65,000 pharmacies in the United States, and the prescription discount app should work at all of them. However, if your pharmacy is not a member of the network, they can easily be added by calling the Pharmacy Help number found on the My Card screen within the app.

My pharmacist says they do not accept the myRxMedSaver prescription discount card. What should I do?

Have them call the Pharmacist Help number found on the My Card screen of the app. A representative will explain how the pharmacist should enter the information to process your transaction.

How do I use the myRxMedSaver app to receive a discount?

Once you’ve set your preferred pharmacy, the app will alert you when you enter that pharmacy. Simply open the app and show the My Card screen to your pharmacist upon check out. They will enter the information and should let you know if any discount can be applied to your purchase.

What if I do not receive a discount?

If you did not receive a discount, you have the option to try another card that may provide a discount on your prescription. To try another card, simply tap on the “Tap here when done” button on the myRxMedSaver My Card screen. When asked if you received a discount, tap, “No, try another card.” A new card will be created, and you can present it to the pharmacist to try again.

Can I use myRxMedSaver in addition to my health insurance?

It is not uncommon for a drug to be less expensive with the myRxMedSaver app than with a health insurance card, particularly with generic medications. We suggest that you ask the pharmacist to consider both your health insurance and the potential myRxMedSaver cash price discount. Then, simply pay the lowest price.

Do I need to show myRxMedSaver each time I visit the pharmacy?

No. Once you have successfully used the app at your pharmacy, the card information will be stored on your account and applied to future purchases. You do not need to show the app again. If you go to a different pharmacy chain, you’ll need to present the app.

Can I use myRxMedSaver for pet prescription discounts?

Yes. The discount can be applied to prescriptions for people and pets. If a pharmacy does not accept the app for pet prescriptions, have them call the Pharmacist Help number on the My Card screen.

How do I choose my preferred pharmacy?

Tap on the “My Pharmacy” tab. If you receive a notification that myRxMedSaver would like to use your current location, Tap “OK”.

While in Map View:

If location settings are enabled, the map will automatically zoom in to your current location. If your preferred pharmacy is near your current location, find the red pin for that pharmacy. You can zoom in and move the map with your fingers. If you do not find your pharmacy on the map using this method, or your preferred pharmacy is not near your current location, enter the zip code where your preferred pharmacy is located and it should appear on the map. If you are still unable to find the pharmacy, you may need to zoom in or move the map using your fingers.

Tap on the red pin for your preferred pharmacy; a pop-up box will appear with the pharmacy name and address. If this is your preferred pharmacy, tap the grey star. Your preferred pharmacy will now be indicated with an orange star.

REMINDER: the arrow icon at the bottom of the screen takes you to your current location.

While in List View:

If location settings are enabled, pharmacies near your current location will be displayed in a list. Find your preferred pharmacy on the list. If you do not find your pharmacy on the list, enter the zip code where your preferred pharmacy is located. Your pharmacy should now appear on the list.

Tap on the grey star to the left of your preferred pharmacy name. Your preferred pharmacy will now be indicated with an orange star.

Why should I choose a preferred pharmacy?

If you choose a preferred pharmacy, myRxMedSaver will remind (alert) you to use the card when you are in or near your pharmacy. This feature is unique to the myRxMedSaver app. Once you’ve successfully used the app at your pharmacy, your information will be stored at that pharmacy for discounts on future prescription purchases.

How do I change my preferred pharmacy?

If you would like to change your preferred pharmacy, tap on the “My Pharmacy” tab at the bottom left of your screen. If location settings are enabled, the map will zoom in to your current location. You can select another pharmacy on the map, or type in the zip code for your new preferred pharmacy. Pharmacies in that zip code will appear on the map as red pins. You can tap one to view the name and address then tap the grey star to the left to set as your pharmacy. You may also switch to a listing of pharmacies by tapping “ View List”. In List View, you can tap the grey star to the left of the pharmacy you would like to select.
